EMPLOYEE SAFETY
Our OSHA-certified workforce is proof that we take safety seriously. Nothing is more important than making sure our employees get home safe each day. Each of our electricians go through the 10-hour OSHA Outreach Training, and adherence to our safety guidelines is mandatory and constantly emphasized on each job site.

Indoctrinate new hires with safe work practices

Obtain and provide all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, work gloves, hearing protection, etc.

Inspect equipment, tools, environment and conditions before starting work

Inspect all ladders, scaffolding, planks and extension cords prior to use

Conduct weekly safety training sessions relevant to the phase of construction and/or daily job hazard analysis

Enforce the J&K Electric, Inc Safety Infraction Warning System

Set up a preplan for all emergency situations

TRAINING
Our electricians are state certified and have been serving the Tampa Bay area since 1971. In addition to our certified electricians, we offer a fully paid apprenticeship program through the Bay Area Electrical Apprenticeship program. This four-year apprenticeship involves on-the-job training with our skilled journeymen combined with classroom training two days a week. Graduates of the program are then eligible to sit for the Pinellas County Journeyman’s exam.
